We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and organized Fundraising Assistant Managers to help assist the fundraising manager and team in leading successful campaigns and bring awareness for MARI’s goals and ambitions. The fundraising assistant Manager is responsible for contributing in the planning, developing and and marketing fundraising activities. Some of their duties include participating in fundraising specific events, assisting in finding potential fundraising opportunities, supporting and assisting members of the fundraising team whilst learning and developing personal skills in the field. The fundraising assistant manager volunteers under the supervision of the fundraising manager and volunteers in collaboration with the fundraising team and will be in contact with members of other MARI departments when necessary. Under the circumstance that the fundraising manager is unavailable to complete their role, the fundraising assistant Manager will be the temporary acting-Manager.

Responsibilities:

The fundraising assistant manager must maintain active communication and will require that qualified individuals attend weekly online meetings in collaboration with internal departments.

Typical Duties:

  • Attend weekly meetings and maintain communication with MARI managers/ departments online via email or video conferences.
  • Effectively communicate with MARI team members and management.
  • Interact professionally and diplomatically with people of various educational backgrounds.
  • Assist with the research of potential fundraising opportunities such as finding new funders, sponsors and donors.
  • Document and record sponsor and supporter information
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of fundraising material
  • Respond to Manager and member emails in a timely manner (up to 24-48 hours from sent time stamp)
  • Assist in developing attractive proposals with a clear understanding of MARI’s projects/goals for distribution to inform potential and current sponsors of current works
  • Collecting feedback regarding event coordination and planning to improve future events
  • Helps create a safe and engaging environment for all the MARI members
  • Attends to any and all requests or concerns of the Manager
  • Assisting the Manager in managing communication with other branches/ members and their inquiries
  • Acts as temporary acting-Manager under the circumstance that the Manager is unavailable
  • Maintain an active and excellent working relationships with sponsors and MARI members.
